Manfrotto 190X Pro B with 486RC2 for Panosaurus?

Im using Canon 400D + 10-22mm lens, with panosaurus and cheap tripod. Im considering Manfrotto 190X Pro B with 486RC2. Is this good for my camera and panosaurus for 360x180 panorama? Thanks!

How "cheap" is your tripod? Is it something you picked up in radio-shack (or bygningsmarknad) for less than an hour's worth of regular workman's wages?
If it is really wiggly-wobbly, you are better off with another more stable tripod. My first one was a Chinese no-brand, but it was surprisingly stable, but it gave up on me due to bad material choice in the leg-support loops (cast-aluminum that broke).
I used it with Panosaurus for around 4 years, and it served me well... then I got Nodal Ninja... and THAT I know will make ALL the difference for your work flow! I had modified my Panosaurus to enable changing batteries during shooting without removing the camera, and it took me only seconds to mount-unmount the camera from the head (6-8 seconds)... but I am happier with the Nodal Ninja than I could ever be with Panosaurus. Not knowing the state of your current tripod... I think it is absolutely worth considering a change of panohead... If the tripod is really wobbly and unstable and bad - you should absolutely go for something better. If not... consider Nodal Ninja. You will not be sorry for the change. I can guarantee that!

Just got the panosaurus, so I am not ready to change. Just want to know if the Manfrotto 190X Pro B with 486RC2 is good for this setup, since my old tripod is not steady enough due to it light weight and plastic composition.

I have a canon 400d mounted on a panosaurus and use a manfrotto 190X DB. Not sure if thats a similar tripod but the combo works well for me.
