PTGui uninstall.exe trojan horse?

AVG gave me a message about detecting a Trojan horse in PTGui uninstall.exe. Anyone else getting this? As far as I know the uninstall.exe has been there as long as the PTGui file and has not morphed into a Trojan horse.

I'm sure it is a false positive. There's been a very recent update to the AVG software and users of other applications have also reported similar results. Older versions of PTGui V8 as well as the latest have also been moved to the virus vault. They can be restored from there.

Yes, same here, AVG is positive, Avira is not.

It has been picked up, probably due to photomatix having it bundled in a torrent going round.
PAY for your software and you should be ok (I`m not pointing any fingers by the way - some virus software has flagged it as containing viruses due to the torrent)

Avg reported my firefox portable as a virus the other day. I found the option to send it for analysis (its in the virus vault) and avg had another update the same day which stopped the problem.
www.virustotal.com/ is a good site. You can upload a file and it will scan it with thirty virus checkers. So you can quickly get an idea if it is a false positive. Hard to upload a file that avg is blocking mind.
To be honest I'm planning to try avast instead as avg is getting a bit buggy and clingy.
