PTgui - preview and stitched not the same

Hello everybody.
Today I discovered a new problem using PTgui.
I set up a project in PTgui. Before creating the panorama I always preview it - just to check if everything is ok.
Here is an extract from the preview:
As you can see it looks fine. There are some small stitching errors, but they are correctable in Photoshop.
After previewing I create the panorama. But looking at the created panorama it now looks like this:
Can anybody explain this strange behaviour?
Best regards Morten

The Panorama Editor does not show a completely accurate preview of the final image. PTGui takes shortcuts when warping the images so that the composite image can be generated sufficiently rapidly. Moreover, it doesn't blend the images as they might be by Smartblend, Enblend, or PTGui. In the case of your sample pictures, what has happened is the blender has ignored the zenith shot, because there was already full coverage provided by the horizontal shots. This is typical of Smartblend and Enblend.
PTGui Pro has a Blend Priority feature on the Image Parameters tab, which can be used to control how images get blended. In your dining rooom pano, a PTGui blended version does include the zenith despite there not being a hole left by the horizontal shots. If you have the Pro version, try blending with PTGui.

Morton Do you have FSPViewer?
What I've done is render the scene in PTGui, keep the program and project open, minimize them and open the stitched image with FSPViewer.
The if I have any problems, I can just maximize PTGui again and continue with some more work on the image.
Its free, here's the link www.fsoft.it/panorama/FSPViewer.htm

Doug, If you specify FSPViewer in Tools->Options as the viewer to be used for equirectangular files, you can use the View button near the file name field on the Generate Panorama tab to display the panorama. No need to minimize or run FSPViewer separately.

John Thanx. I forgot I could set it up as a Tool.
Do you have a "tutorial" on what you think should be "added" to PTGui when setting it up and where to get them
Like FSPViewer, Enblend, Smart Blend, etc
I know for guys like me who come from software that is "self-contained" the concept of setting up the tools takes a little getting used to.

Doug, I don't know of a tutorial that deals specifically with how to set up PTGui and the various alternative stitchers, blenders, viewers, cp generators etc. My tutorial "360 VR Stitching with PTGui for beginners" does include some links and setup instructions for those I felt were of value to a beginner. These include FSPViewer and Smartblend. There's also the complication of what options are available on Mac, about which I know very little.

Thanks for your tutorials! I learned a lot from them and it helped me use PTGui more efficiently.
