how te create zenit and nadir hole with pano2qtvr

I made a good equirectangular with autopanopro, but wwhen I try to cenvert it in Pano2qtvr in 6 cubic shots, ther is no place for de zentig and nadir shot in the two shots where I have to place them. Pano2qtvr streches zenith and nadir together. What do I have tot do to place the zenith and nadir?
Regards!

Not 100% certain what you mean here as when Pano2QTVR converts from "equirectangular" you get 6 separate "cubic" shots generated, numbered from 0 - 5.
Shot number 5 will have the nadir in it's centre and shot number 4 will have the zenith in it's centre.
These shots can be edited individually in PhotoShop (or whatever you use) to either repair any unwanted image or add a nadir or zenith "cap".

Load the equirectagular image, and click on the "convert to cube" button, which will prompt you for tilesize (which you can leave at 0) and quality (tiff is best), and output location. gus

Why are you not placing the zenith shot (stitching-in) when you stitch the pano image set?
Are you certain your APP output stitched image is a full 360x180 equirectangular with 2:1 aspect ratio?
If using APP to stitch you might like (also) to post your problem on the APP forum where it is easy to upload images with posts so that people can better appreciate the problems you are having?: www.autopano.net/forum/

I've had this issue...
Your input type is set to auto.
click on "select input" and change type from "auto" to "Equirectangular"
You'll now have the holes for your zenith & nadir.
Now save as cube faces, and you can edit both cube faces to patch or cap with a graphic.
Then drag & drop one of the cube faces onto the input section and it will rebuild the pano with the new parts.

Andrew, i do not place the zenith in, cause APP doesn't know where to place it because its completely white. There are know referencepoints for combining it with others parts of the pano.

Looks to me like you had the vertical FOV something smaller than 180. When you created the equirectangular image, did you have the parameters set to 360°x180°? There should be a hole the size of your tripod footprint.... gus

That's exactly where I'm looking for Gus. The hole in the nadir. I took two horizontal rows and at the moment of stichting in autopano, I didn't load de nadir and zenith shot. Without then nadir, it's less than 180 degrees.

OK - I don';t know what camera, lens and pano head you are using but to avoid the 'can't find control points at teh zenih' problem when shooting with mu Croped sensor Nikon DSLR and Sigma 8mm FE I shot the 'zenith' shot not at +90 bu at about +60. This gives good zenith coverage but also means I almost always get a good link between the 'zenith' shot and the main row.
Alternatively if you are working with a decent pano head you will know the Yaw, Pitch and Roll values for the zenith image and can enter tem nanually in APP's Panorama Editor in 'Move Images' mode.
I asumme you are using the (correct) spherical default projection for 360x180 and are not cropping the stitched pano.
Can you post a screenshot of your stitched pano in the APP Pano Editor window?

What lensare you using and which camera?
How many shots for each of your two rows?
If you can put the source images on-line somewhere so I can d'load them I'd be happy to try a stitch in APP and have a look at what's going wrong for you.

you still have to make it 360x180, even if you didnt load the zenith and nadir shots. The missing bits will become the holes, which once you have extracted into cubes you can edit the holes. I'm not familiar with APP, but there must be somewhere where you can adjust the equi to 360x180? gus

Oke, so I can take pics much higher in the first row for the zenith. Thnx for so far! But what do I have to do with the nadir?
I work with the canon 40D, 10 mm (10-22 Canon lens), with Nodal Ninja 5 Lite. I took 6 shots in a row. That worked well.
I put the files here (22 mb): photas.webruimtehosting.com/20080703woonkamer.rar
