Just like one can try out PTgui for a little while I'm looking for a place to download a trial of FPP. Have not had much luck so far. Any suggestions?

Sorry but FPP is not possible to just try. The price is cheap and I suggest you take a look at the forum and see the many examples in the Showcase. flashpanoramas.com/forum/
And for Gui you just need your texteditor. Help is available from a large team of specialists at the forum.

FPP is a splendid tool; it certainly deserves the effort.
After purchasing it you can try this free very friendly GUI interface
flashificator.com/

Hmm, like I said ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK
Not sure if I would take any of the answers offered just because someone said so. If there is not problem remove the "so called" counter scripts. I had more than one virus scanner throw errors and warnings when I opened the site.
You can't always trust "coders" regardless of offering product for free. If he wants to give it away then list it with download.com or similar and let them do the counting (if this is even important?)

Where does one find the templates to create that? I have been looking for that exact format. I have some web design skills but none with flash. I have been looking at FPP as an option to Immervision. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
