Hello everyone,
I have been searching for a while for a company in India which will perform the pano stitching. Does anybody know of one such company?

I am so upset when I see this...
I am forced to accept outsourcing as I am a software developper, but when I see this company that you just mentionned (the chinese one) pretending making "best quality" stitching... and they show the following as an example !!
www.vtoutsource.com/parkqtvr/park.mov
My god... have you seen the stiching of the nadir ? Do they take us for totally stupid people or what ?
EDIT: I just saw the "testimonials".... one of them is "360Utah"... ok... just go to their site... you'll see what "high quality" is... I am wondering: is this a joke or what ??

Jorgen The problem with outsourcing the stitching is when there's a problem with the alignment, seam blending and overall quality, you and the stitching company will point fingers at each other trying to place blame.
If there's a misalignment in the stitched image, was it becasue they didn't stitch the set right or because you bumped the tipod on the last stitch. So are they supposed to hand edit those in Photoshop.
I've even had the problem shooting outdoors in the late afternoon with a Sigma 8mm, doing 4 shots around with 3 shot brackets on each shots, and by the time I got around to the 4 shot the shadow of an overhead beam moved enough that the part of it in the first shot wouldn't line up although the seams in the sidwalk did. Will they fix that or is it up to you
And you can't expect a stitching company in India or China to know if they got the color right when no one from their company has every been at or in the location you shot?

I understand everybody's reaction to me considering outsourcing stitching to a low cost country.
However, I am sure you all agree that you should try and minimise your cost if it can be gone without any discernible deterioration to quality. I am merely trying to establish if that is the case.
I don't know yet if it's cost effective since I have only had one panorama back from one provider out of three companies in India. It was not the best quality and I don't know the price.
As for Doug's comments: If 95% of the time quality is acceptable and the cost is significantly less then there's is plenty of room to pay double for the 'pointing fingers' moments.
As I said, I don't know what the conclusion is but I'm happy to play it completely open and let everybody see what kind of quality one can get out there.
More to come....

Don't forget to look up and check out the quality of the Zenith stitching.
Others here do bring up very good points: Will they fix colors and mis alignemnts? They cannot seem to fix any mis alignments in their example. When your camera is mounted in the proper position on your pano head, stitching will be the least of your worries. It's the skills that you use after stitching that will make your panos *POP*.

Jorgen They look pretty good.
I saw a "seam shadow" in one that must have been stitched from just 2 fisheyes.
Have you gotten any pricing yet?
