Nikkor, Sigma, or Peleng

I'm trying to research which lens would be best for interior panoramas as that's what 90% of mine will be. I'll be using a D50 for taking the pictures, but may upgrade to a D70 later on. I am looking at:
Peleng 3.5/8mm Nikon 10.5mm Sigma 8mm
I don't have a problem taking 6 around vs. 4 around so that's not an issue. I may want to shoot in confined spaces so I would like items as close as 1 foot to be in focus.
Can someone provide some insight into which would be best for my goals?
Thanks in advance.

Nikkor 10.5mm.
I have a D40 and both the Nikkor 10.5mm and the Sigma 8mm f3.5 - all bought used at considerable saving over new.
I would always choose the Nikkor 10.5mm over the Sigma 8mm for interiors.
For one thing with a 6MP sensor you need all the resolution you can get if planning to offer fullscreen sphericals of interiors.
I got the Sigma 8mm for outdoor panos with people and so on moving in the scene where fewer shots is an advantage.
I use a Nodal Ninja 5 pano head.
Not sure I would consider a D70 much of an upgrade over a D50. Why do you feel it would be?

The upgrade won't happen for some time or unless this camera dies. I wouldn't technically consider a D70 an upgrade, but rather "newer" would be a better term. I do want a camera that can do +/- 2EV in case I want to do simple bracketing.
Since I'm still just an amateur, there's a lot I need to learn about both photography and equipment.
Thanks for your input, I'll hold out for the Nikkor.

Hi, When you upgrade to a D70, make sure you get the D70s, and not the D70, whch does not have a plug for a wired remote. The "eye" of the D70 and D50 is at the fron tof the camera which is not ideal for panography.
I used to have a Peleng, and although its good value for money, I now have a Nikon 10.5mm which is much better in my opinion. The Peleng is a manual lens, which isnt a problem, and it retains its value, so you can always upgrade without making a big loss. You might want to visit: tinyurl.com/b9sgn
which compares the 10.5 to the sigma 8mm.

If you think about the Nikon just put the Tokina 10-17 onto the list. It´s reproted as sharp but much more versatile. The price is very interested too- in this comparison. Guess you can get the Pelen & Tokina for the price of the Nikon ??? (Or pretty close to that)

In that case, there's a few posts on this forum about the lens, here's one: www.panoguide.com/forums/tipsntricks/2675/
