Hiring Someone to "Teach" Me?
Posted: 6 Apr 2008 at 17:02 GMT
I'm all about effeciency and had a thought on my morning run this morning. I can spend hours and hours reading tutorials and learning the process of shooting great virtual tours I am sure. But then I thought surely there might be someone somewhere who could give me personal instructions - at a cost for sure. I'm just curious if there is anyone reading this who might consider such an arrangement? I live in Northern California and would be willing to travel world wide if I knew I could learn to do this as well as many of panoramas I see online. In addition, I am sure if I found the right person it could be arranged that that person could benefit financially from my business as I have a lot of contacts in upscale hotels all over Europe. Thanks.

dear Tom,
in regards to your willingness paying someone i would say if you carefully post your search query in this forum you will easily find your answers here without paying anyone and spending so much amount learning basics of panorama.

i have learnt through practice and after 3 years i am still learning new things and techniques to enhance my work.

i am in india and happy that i have done for more than 200 hotels work here without any competition.

right now i am on trip to shoot three hotels.

well back to your topic.
I would suggest you to go on some place and start shooting outdoors exteriors.

read basics in this site.
download some templates within forum links and ptGUi site and study those.

after spending some hours and your own shooting data you may have little judgement on how and when to shoot at what exposures and parameters in outdoor and indoor.

just keep on practicing and you will soon be expert on this line to produce some good quality pano's.

just drop me an email on "dzinepixel at gmail dot com" and i'll be happy to answer you as far as i am online at that time.

regards
mak
