Mac issues with Sticher Unlimited

Hi,
I currently produce virtual tours using a Laptop with a 1.6 and 1gb ram. Using Sticher Unlimited 5.6 I can produce a tour in half an hour.
Im looking to buy a new laptop and favour macs. However, I have heard there are a number of issues with the compatability is this true?

Not sure what you mean by a tour in half an hour.
Do you mean that it takes half an hour just to stitch it and if so how large is that panorama, 16 bit or 8 bit.
My old Powerbook 1ghz 1gb Ram could easy stitch a 6000x3000 8 bit in 4 minutes with PTGui
My MacBook Pro 2.16 2GB ram can do it in 1.10
A new MacBook Pro can do it in 45 sec I guess.
Regarding Stitcher they seems to have problems with Leopard . Not sure if that is solved yet, You have to ask the RealViz forum about that.
PTGui Pro has no problems and have lots of new features like viewpoint and Exposure Fusing. Features which Stitcher not have.

Hi Hans thanks for the help.
When I say 30 mins I mean to bring in all the pictures and create the final Mov virtual tout.
I have used PTGui and find Unlimited Stitcher since I like to see the tour before having to produce the Mov and then have to correct it.

The latest version of Stitcher Unlimited has had some problems when running on Macs.

You can output a low resolution preview for example 2000x1000 in a few seconds in PTgui and automatically open it for example in Photoshop where you can see it interactivly in Pangea Previewer.
Its much easier and better than you can in Stitcher.

Hi Michael
If you are running Stitcher 5.6.2 you'll be fine with Leopard the issues were with 5.6.1 which were fixed in 5.6.2. However, use Enblend for your external blender and you'll get much quicker results.
