still image in cubic connector

I am trying to build a multi node movie in cubic connector but need to use still images, I know that it is possible to put these in however the name of the hotspot changes to 'still image' and the zoom in/out still is still available.
Is there a way I am make still image into a .mov and trick the software into thinking its another qtvr?

Not sure what you want to do.
Do you want to do just a slideshow with stillimages only?
Then you should not use CubicConnector.
Photo2movie is the easiest application for that.

In CubicConnector you can make a hotspot in a QTVR linking to a stillimage which opens in the movie and on the image you link back to the movie.
Just remember you have to publish it in fixed proportions, Still images changes proportions - QTVR does not.

I am linking from a QTVR to a still image, however you can still zoom in and out of the still image which looks awfull. I need to be able to turn the still into a .mov file so I can set the contraints!

You can not mix QTVR with video/still image movies,
However you can make a 1 image object movie and link to it.
You can use this simple application to make it,
homepage.mac.com/chilton/iStill/
Choose QTVR Object builder from the Extra menu and drop your image,
You will still need to keep your final movie in the right aspect but the object movie will not be zoomable,
However if you use a still image in for example 2000 pixels height and ad extra canvas to the proportions you want your final movie you will get a QTVR with a link to a zoomable image which looks good also if you zoom in.
