You need to adjust the FOV to something more natural. You are displaying far to wide at the moment. Try something around 80

You will see if you zoom in to a better natural eye FOV that the distortion goes away.

The intial FOV is too large. To see what I mean, zoom in on the pano on the link you gave, and then pan around. The distortion is much less.
You'll have to change the initialFOV paramater in the Immervision javascript.

This is assuming we're talking about the same "distortion".

so, if i redo the pano and lessen the field of view to say....??? in the immervision, then it will be better...is that maximum or minimum field of view???

also, i shoot at infiniti? should i shoot differently?

You dont have to re-do the panorama, you just have to look at the documents that came with your software to find out how to change the intitial FOV parameter value, to something aound 70-80.
MaxFOV and minFOV are the extremities which the viewer will zoom and out to. Which is different to initial FOV, which is the FOV of the pano when it loads.

"Shoot at infinity". What lens are you using?

And go easy on the question marks, it will cause people to skip you post!

entrypoint FOV

I cant remember exactly how to change FOV, havent used pureplayer for a while, but I think you edit the XML folder by right clicking, open with, notepad.
You should find code similar to this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<panorama xmlns="www.immervision.com/panorama">
<meta>
<title>panorama title</title>
<author>author name</author>
</meta>
<panoSphere >
<image file="MyPanorama.jpeg"/>
</panoSphere>
<camera>
<entrypoint pan="0" tilt="0" fov="110"/>
<limits maxFov="140" minFov="40.0" lockZenithNadir="true"/>
<autopath>
<move apid="autopan" pan="-5" />
</autopath>
</camera>
</panorama>

This is the line you are interested in:
<entrypoint pan="0" tilt="0" fov="110"/>

you want the 110 to be 70-80.

You can always ask the pros at Immervision forum:
www.immervision.com/forum/

And as for your question about the lens, check out:

good luck

or at least the entry point.

<entrypoint pan="0" tilt="0" fov="80"/>

Set the limits if you wish to stop people from adjusting to get a distorted view.

<limits maxFov="80" minFov="40.0" lockZenithNadir="true"/>
