Peleng 3.5/8A Fisheye lens---your help needed

I bought the abovementioned lens about six months ago. Immediately afterwards I bought a 360% optic and I have spent the last six months getting the hang of that, so my Peleng has been virtually unused. Now I'm spending time on my fisheye. My problem--I hav'ent got a manual, or, at least, not one that anyone outside deepest Russia could understand. I've tried getting some sort of translation, but no luck. Does anyone know where I could get an english manual from or alternatively does anyone know the basic information on using the three adjustment rings, the top one appeared to move in steps, the second marked unlock and lock, that should be simple but it is'ent, and the third rotates nice and smoothly. I have tried taking a few shots in different positions, but I still cannot make out what is going on. Mike Owen

Check this: www.panoguide.com/forums/tipsntricks/4020/
It is a totally manual lens, so if you are using a pano head and taking say 4 exposures at 90degrees apart, (0,90,180,270), you can start by leaving the f-stop at f/8, leave the aperture control on Lock, and the focus at infinity.
I use a hand-held exposure meter.

If you follow the link above, pls disregard the pic I posted. It turned out I have been shooting at F3.5 for more that a year . Just read the last comment on the 2nd page.. the middle ring should be in 'locked' position.

Thanks to everyone for your help. I've learnt more about the Peleng lens in the last 24 hours than in the previous six months, mainly through following links from one thread to another. One very simple question however. Infinity. I have been told by several to set the third ring to infinity. But---what is the sign? Is it the two small circles joined together? This seems to be giving me good results. Mike

Yes, the infinity symbol is like a figure out eight.

Thanks a lot, James, for your instant reply. I "thought" that was it, but I must admit that I have never come accross this sign before. Mike
