I just tried to order the Sigma 8mm f3.5 from B&H and the man said, "this is not a full frame lens, it's image is just like a half dollar"
I said, i make panoramas, he said "i dont know how you would make a panorama out of this end result"
QUESTION? Huh? Am i ordering the correct lens??? If so i thought B&H where GODS at this...Tell me please exactly what i should order..
Thank you.

Hi dsulvett,
The B&H guy probably knows a lot about lenses and cameras but nothing about this specialist end for the use of those lenses. The Sigma 8 mm is ideal for panos. If you're using a DSLR with a crop factor of 1.5 or 1.6 ... or even better if you're using a Full Frame Sensor ... the Sigma will yield exceptional results. My 1.6 cropped image from a Peleng 8mm can achieve a seamless pano in 4 images around and 1 additional shot of the Zenith.
So go ahead and grab the Sigma - there'll be lots of people on this forum who'll cheer you on.
Kind regards,
Tom

Yes, the Sigma f/3.5 8mm Circular Fisheye is a great lens for spherical panorama making. Be sure when you go to use it for the first time to remember to remove the "complete" lens cap. The cap is made to come off in two pieces and many people who fail to read the manual only remove the clip fit cap, where the secondary outer ring is press fit and just slides the whole thing off in one piece.
