You might not think its' newsworthy, but it is.
I was quite repulsed actually so I didn't have time to bracket my shots :-P

"As with other fashionable things that have swept through this land - communism, plastic windows, and suburbs - Starbucks is arriving on the wrong side of the hump, just a bit too late. Just at the moment it's becoming uncool in other places, they arrive here, hoping for some last residual vapors of coolness among people who haven't heard yet."

Thanks. Of course business is good. It's right in the center of the tourist madness, just under Prague Castle I guess soon enough they'll put another one 200 meters away :-P

Just the kind of panorama I like. Reality not just virtual reality. Prague has one thing in common with my little town. No not its communist past, instead a brand new Starbucks, just when it's going out of fashion. Starbucks that is, not communism. But unlike Jeffff I'll make do with a couple of Nescafes a day. Mark

I don't see how you can complain about Starbucks coming to Prague. The central part of Prague near the old clock tower is completely ridiculous with all of the tiny shops selling magnets and crystals and whatever. One after another. And another. If the starbucks replaced a few of these it would be a step up for the city in my opinion.

By the way-
For those that are curious, here is a VR of the Starbucks headquarters in Seattle.
tinyurl.com/2ezupz
This historic building was originally built in 1912 as the first Sears distribution center outside of Chicago. There is still a Sears store in a portion of it to this day.
At 1.8 million-square-feet, it is the second-largest structure in terms of square feet in the Northwest, beaten only by Boeing's assembly plant at Paine Field.
