Best tripod for a 360Precision

Hi, I'm getting a 360P Absolute with a D80/10.5mm and wondering what tripod should I buy... I'm specially interested in keeping the hole in the nadir as small as possible. I have been thinking about getting a Bogen mDeve Aliminium Video Tripod 755B, but not sure if it is a good choice... I already have a Bogen 3021BP, but it forces me to leave a big hole in the nadir... (because of the legs openning angle...)
I would really appreciate any comments!
Regards,
Rim

Previous posts referred to the Induro CX214. I just bought one and it seems well put together and thought out. Having the D80 and 10.5 Nikon, unless you have bought the 360 head, I might suggest you could save a lot of money and go with the NN3. With my setup, PTGui on full auto and using John Houghton's optimizing routine makes for a flawless stitch, and you will be a few hundred bucks better off!

Hi Rim, A 360P abosolute is rather heavy. You need a tripod with a sturdy centre collum without flex. Mostly all Manfrotto's (Bogen) are to light for that. (fact) Gitzo (owned by Manfrotto !) has better options. And this is also an option: www.feisol.com/
Have Fun, FRank

Rim,
few months ago, I upgraded to the same combo your getting: D80/10.5 and 360P. I had a manfrotto 190CL with the 488RC2 tripod head. This tripod wasn't steady enough, specially on carpet! so I got the mDeve 755B (which is recommended by the 360P guys) and I can say it is an excellent choice.
regarding the nadir concern, I can tell you that the tripod legs are barely seen, what you will get is the 360P foot print no matter what If you want, I can send you some source images or even a pano so you can judge!

Thank you all for the advice!
Theo, I would really appreciate if you can show me some source images and a pano made with that setup!
