Seeking tips/advice for VTours with the 0-360 lens

Hello everyone, I am new here, and a "newbie" to VTours in general. I just went through all the forums and topics here and didn't find anything that addressed the question I had...so here goes:
Some friends and I are starting a company to do VTours for Realtors and self-home sellers in our area (which is pretty small). One of the friends is the "guy with the money" and he bought the 0-360 one shot lens, so thats what we have to work with. The camera is the Nikon CoolPix 4500. Getting a different lens or camera is simply not an option right now (and I do seem to infer from reading on this forum that the 0-360 one shot system may not be the best tool for this job...but thats what we have for now).
So basically I am looking for tips/tricks/suggestions and advice for taking the best possible pics with this particular setup. Specifically the 0-360 lens.
Helpful weblinks dealing with one or both of our tools (the 0-360 and the CP4500) would also be appreciated.
Please remember that getting different equipment is simply NOT an option right now, we have what we have and thats what we have to use for now. Later we will likely upgrade, but for now it's the 0-360 lens and the CP4500 for us.
So, in general, when doing VTours in homes, what things have you found that will produce the best possible results using this setup - SPECIFICLY the 0-360 lens.
Thank you in advance
Take care, Rob

Hi Rob,
Here are some suggestions for you and your combination.
1) Manual Mode (aperture 8.0) adjust shutter speed to suit the lighting conditions. 2) Macro Mode 3) Sharpening (Camera setting) set to it's highest level. 4) Zoom to fill LCD without going outside the edge or cropping. 5) NO FLASH 6) Unwrap and import into Photoshop for extra sharpening. Either use the unsharp mask or spend a couple of bucks and buy www.ultrasharpen.com plug in.

Hope this helps.

Ok, the guy that bought the camera's had said that we want the aperture to be as high as possible, like 9.9 or so. Is 8 better? And why or why not?
Take care, Rob

Hello, I can get nice, clear vtour from a room if the light is OK. But (my problem) what should I do if the room is dark. (small windows in the basement). I tried to Adjust "brightnes levels" with PhotoShop? - still not good. Do you have any "trick" to put additional lights... but how? Experiment: I tried that, I have a standing light (1000W) and I put close to the camera/mirror and above... directing to the ceiling. It gives perfect strong light, except the lamp-stand is on the picture. What do you use, if you need more light?
Any idea... thanks

The smaller the aperture, the greater the depth of field. But you have to take lighting into consideration. The smaller the aperture, the darker the picture. 9.9 is smaller than 8

Just to clarify, in case you are a newbie to photography as well:
A smaller aperture (higher number) will be darker unless you compensate with a longer exposure, which should be OK, since you are on a tripod.
