I'm creating tours with a wide angle converter lens. Is it possible to get good tours with the flash turned on? Tim

Not really - you'll get hotspots from the flash. Unless you have a wide angle external flash. If possible I use those cheap clamp on lights with 100 watt bulbs to light the scene.

I have had pretty good luck using fill/bounce flash on cylindrical panos. I shoot with a Nikon D100; DX12-24(portrait at 12 Manfrotto 302 and Speedlight SB 800 with the wide angle diffuser. My technique varies, depending on the height of the ceiling etc. Typically I meter for ambient light and fill in with the flash pointed straight up at the ceiling.
Example tour at: c.vrguild.net/c/stnd.pl?U=0408272219206582&Z=1
Note that even on the outside pano of the back yard I used fill flash (direct with Wide angle diffuser.) SB 800 set at TTL/BL EV at 0.
As previously noted, this technique is not appropriate for full sphericals.

Here is a great sample shows that how panorama can be combined with flash perfectly: www.easypano.com/gallery_tw.html, please click the "purple mountain hotel" to view the virtual tour.

Bizman,
This thread is about the use of electronic flash as a way to enhance panoramic lighting, not Flash (Macromedia) interfaces.
