Does anyone use the Manfrotto 303SPH Multi Row Pan Head? Anyone know if it will work with the Coolpix 8700?

Thanks

Got mine a few weeks ago and love it. Made a huge difference in my panos once I got it set up correctly and aligned.

It has just a touch of sag and bounce though. But pretty easy to work around that.

Hi Rick,

I see you are looking in earnest for a panohead for your camera. I would like to recommend the products from www.agnos.com I have three professional panorama heads from this company and use them all with great success. Their website is in Italian but if you use Google translator you can read it in the most part OK.

You also may like to email Agnos in English and they will reply to your enquiry and help you with the correct item for your combination and needs.

Just tell 'em Smooth recommended you contact them.

I hope this helps you in your choice.
Oh! BTW delivery takes about 3 to 10 days after ordering. (Well it did for my last order! But is was coming to Australia)

Regards, Smooth

Hey Rick,

I just got my 303 a few weeks ago as well, haven't got much time into it yet - but so far I love it! Used mostly for cylindrical panos right now, but the capability to do high-res sphericals was a HUGE selling point. It is a bit heavy, but very well constructed. Agnos heads are also very nice, I have the mRotatorA for the FC-E8 fisheye.

I have used both 303SPH and Agnos's pano head with my 8700 DC. When I stitch the images with Panoweaver ( www.easypano.com ), both looks great.
If you prefer not to adjust the nodal point by yourself, agnos's will make it easier. But if you choose 303SPH, you will not worry about the DC upgrade problem in the future. As is said, a coin has two sides. It is up to you.
