HI, It looks nice, but I don't see a demo and the prices are way to high for me sad Any other suggestions?

This is more sensibly priced:
www.imsisoft.com/prodinfo.asp?t=1&mcid=391
I just tried an older version of total cad 2d-3d from them, it cost me £2.95 on amazon!v.good for the price, though the only way to export a usable file is to use the print screen option.

3D Vista also have a [faily basic] solution

Ps I ended up going with SmartDraw, as it is more versatile and better ui, but it's 2d only and £200

Are you on PC or Mac and what roughly is your budget. I use Vectorworks Architect for the 2D plan and then use the exchange plug-in to export the model to Cinema4D.

The cool thing about this set-up is you can go back and forth between both apps without loosing changes made in VW. Once in Cinema4D you have far greater animation and rendering options than the standard CAD packages can offer you.

Here are the links to the respective apps:
VWA: www.nemetschek.net/architect/
Cinema4D: www.maxon.net

Also, if you're drafting a lot of plans then you really need one of these:

Hi Jose,

Not sure if you realise but your website doesn't work at all on Safari on OS X and goes all crazy using Firefox on OS X. I know you software isn't Mac compatible but now with the new Intel Macs alot more Mac users have almost instant access to a PC.

Even though I use OS X 99% of the time if there's an app I like that's PC only then I'm now more than happy to use it.

We are releasing new products and website very soon, some of them also for Mac wink We will take care of the problems you are mentioning in this new version. Thanks again

Hi Jack, a really easy solution is a company called a metroix www.metropix.com

Sign up for a free acount download there free software and start producing nice floorplans from £7.50 per 4 x plans, the company a nice range of output options for you to pick from 2D 3D plans and so on thay also offer a walkthrough of a property from your floorplan hese are priced at £17.00 each. the walkthroughs are gimiky and dont even come close the a realVirtual tour check out there demo.

The 3DVista floorplan software is very good and easy to use ideal for VR use, slight problem with the library of doors and windows ect (not enough items options ) but i am sure it will be constanly expanded. The software does update its self each time you run it so the libary get bigger and better each week, support is first class and the price is right www.3dvista.com

Hope this helps

You could probably find a copy of broderbunds 3d home architect 3 pretty cheap now. It was one of the better home design softwares, which isn't saying much. But I know some people have carried on using it as an easy quick way to make neat floorplans.
