Hi all!!!
I'm interested to try mirror ball photography but I'm clueless as to what software allows me to map the photo into a 360 pano.
Please advise

You can use the Panorama Tools Remap plugin to convert from a convex mirror format to psphere (equirectangular). If you are using PTGui, then you may well already have the plugins supplied with the Panorama Tools package. The latest 16-bit capable plugins can be downloaded from the PTLens site: epaperpress.com/ptplugins/index.html . You will also need to download the pano12.dll file that can process fisheye images from www.photocreations.ca/panotools/ (use the MinGW version). This needs to be copied into the Windows system folder (c:\windows\system32 on XP).
Convert the equirectangular image to cubic QTVR format with Pano2QTVR (www.pano2qtvr.com ).
See the full tutorial on the Pano Tools Wiki at tinyurl.com/56cof .

Or just use the Polar Cordinates filter in Photoshop. And then a vertical resize.

The free version (and the paid version) of photomatix has an option to remap mirror balls into proper images.
I'm not sure what it has to do with the rest of the software but I guess they just threw it in there, never tried it myself.
