Nodal Point, please explain!

I have here a Manfrotto 303 Panohead. NOT the SPH model! I have placed the camera on it, when I taje pictures and shall stitch then I get ghoosting! So, I need to find the nodal point. Can someone please tell me, on very easy understood english how I find it.

also step six of this setup guide is quite good, tells you if you are too far forward or back. (instrucions for a panohead similar to yours but made of plastic.)

Last time I did it I used a cookery cooling wrack, ie a wire grid infront of my tiled kitchen wall.

I have placed two batterys on my kitchen table and adjusted so there is no space between them while paning... But its always allittle!!!!!!

I did a PSD file... I alliged the batterys so good i could in my viewfinder. But still there is ghosting!!!! WHY WHY WHY WHY ???

The positioning of your camera doesn't seem too bad. The parallax effects are very small. Have you tried stitching a set of images of a real scene taken in that position?

What stitching software are you using? You may have a problem with image alignment and correction of lens distortions.

sticther.. I did a few panoramas.. stitched good, but still want less paralax..can i fix that?

Are you quite sure that any stitching errors you are seeing are due to parallax? The example image that you posted above shows the effects of inadequate warping rather than parallax. You might try using another stitcher. Try Autopano Pro or PTGui.

Use the High Distortion/Calibrate option in Stitcher... or upload some pictures, so we can take a look.

Why are you using F22 ? wink
