Hi, Im doing some research as Im interested in buying some equipment....I have reached the conclusion that if I go down the DSLR route I would benefit from a fisheye lens and seeing that the sigma is way out of my budget Ive read about the peleng. What I dont understand is that it is manual....What does this imply and how does it affect the taking of the photos? As u may make out Im a novice so please respect my ignorance, thankyou! I await ure advice.

Normally lenses have autofocus, but on the Peleng you ned to focus on the subject manually. But as the Peleng is a Fisheye anything beyound 2 meters will be sharp anyways, if you have it set on infinity. So its not a big issue.

While leaving it on infinity and f8 will probably cover most situations there is still the question of your shutter spead. On canons I understand the support metering manual lenses but nikons don't, apart from the really expensive ones. Don't know exactly how it all works though.

Hey, cheers for the advice.....question.....infinity?? Oh and so if its a manual lens I would have to control the aperture and shutter speed manually? And what do u mean by.....**On canons I understand the support metering manual lenses**.....Would adjusting the aperture and shutter speed manually be much of an issue? Thanks!
