Video Panos
Posted: 30 Jan 2006 at 10:36 GMT
I know this is fairly new but does anyone know of some software resonably priced ($1500 or less) that will be able to haddle this for me.

I have posted this in another thread but still have not received any comments.

Please, any help will be greatly appreciated

This question is getting asked more and more often. Do a search around the forums for the answer. The cheapest option we use is screen capture software. Is captures the moving pano and coverts it to an avi file which you can put on dvd etc. capture wiz pro is good and cheap. less than $30

Rudders,

Thanks for the info, but I want interactive pan and tilt features. I have snagit and camtasia for screen capture stuff.

I know EGG Solutions have 360Video but I wanted to know if there were more solutions out there.

Thanks

I seemed to remember Imatronics (makers of Panorama Express) having a product -
www.imatronics.com/interactive_video/
Could it be the same one?

They are a small company - the update from the buggy Panorama Express 1.0 has been "imminent" for over a year. When I purchased it back in Sept. '04, the "specual upgrade offer" pricing was in effect.

Why do I mention this? Don't expect any updates or bug fixes any time soon. Requests for tech support were answered with "this will be addressed in the next version" and (this is from memory) "we are no longer working on the old version."

Rick,

Thanks for the info. I to am a panoexpress user who has been waiting forever to PE2 so I will not touch immatronics, I am very disapointed in them and there service.

Do you know of any other software that might haddle Video Panos. (I know EGG have solution out now)

Hi Rick and James and other Imatronics software users,

I understand your disappointment with Imatronics.

As you already know, we were a small company -- in
fact a single person company with me -- the founder
-- as the only member. For the past three years, I have
had to combine my graduate studies and significant family responsibilities with my business at Imatronics. It was not an easy task. The release of Panorama Express 1.0 and Interactive Video 1.0 was an experiment on the viability of several business models I had developed. Now I have finally graduated from university and have more time to devote to software development.

Using the results of my experience with Panorama Express 1.0 and Interactive Video 1.0 and the valuable feedback I received from you -- (***I even gathered a great deal of extremely useful experience from the occasional angry comments you made***) -- I have developed an extensive software platform that is the basis of the new Imatronics. I have re-organized my business at Imatronics and Imatronics is effectively no longer a "small" company. Some of you probably know that I currently hold a position at a Japanese university -- it is part of my preparations for the launch of a viable global business.

I will not mention when the updates to Panorama Express 1.0 and Interactive Video 1.0 will be released -- because I had previously mistakenly (with the best intentions) underestimated the amount of work required to build the foundation for the type of business I had in mind and announced release dates that I was not able to keep.

Let me say that the foundation I talk about is now complete and the updates to Panorama Express 1.0, Interactive Video 1.0 and several brand new products are now in beta stage. Our new website is also currently under construction.

I appreciate the support you have given me and I am doing everything in my power to give back to you. All this takes time. I understand that most of you have become impatient and frustrated. However, always bear this in mind: I am building a successful global business with the goal of giving valuable service to humanity and today I struggle to lay the foundation for that global business. I have a life-time commitment to this vision and welcome the challenges that I face along the way.

Please download a demo of the very first product (in beta stage now) built using the new foundation I have built from the following URL:

the text on your website-imatronics- is hardly readable.... too small and wrong background or wrong text-color/wrong combination.

Hmm,

I too would like a program that displays panorama video footage "correctly". I would be happy with a 400 x 300 viewer/window display with "clarity".

Frank, I hope I qualify for future upgrades! Seems you lost my email address. Perhaps that was accidentally on purpose?

Hi Smooth,

I didn't lose your e-mail address. I wanted to make sure I had something new to offer before posting any messages.

Since you have been exceptionally helpful, you qualify for a lot of goodies...

I look forward to receiving your feedback on Cute Skin Editor -- you can use it to create skins for virtual tours, web pages, software applications, multimedia packages and more...
