Hi Guys

Just recieved an email from Nikon UK Support advising of a battery recall EN-EL3 - They state that there is a risk of fire whilst charging (five cases of this happening).

You are probaby aware of this if you have registered your camera with Nikon - thought I'd mention it.

In the email they say replacement takes 5-10 days AFTER recieving the old battery. I told them I was a pro (PMSL) and they agreed to send me out a new battery first..then I send back the old one.

Only a few batteries are affected and the full list can be seen here..

So get your fire extinguishers at the ready! Seriously be careful...

Cheers

Sent mine off at start of Novemeber when recall appeared on www.vrlog.com - took about 10 days to come back - charge seems to last much longer than old battery - I recommend the replacement. :}
