Easier way to do Tripod Cap for PTGui?

Hi,
I'm currently a Panoweaver 3 Pro user. It has a nice feature that allows one to simply select an image to be the ceiling or tripod cap and the program automatically adds it. You can then adjust it's size to cover as much or as little of the space you want to hide.
I am now considering using PTGui to complement my pano tool kit.
Other than the process described at the PTGui site on creating and adding a tripod cap, do you guys use a different method?
If not, I guess I'll just import a finished pano image into Panoweaver and then add the floor.
Your help would be appreciated.
Thanks, eagle

You can just open a stitched panorama from panoweaver with tripod cap in Photoshop or whatever you use for processing. Crop to tripod cap and save it, then open image stitched in PTGui and the Tripod cap file and drag it into position in your pano.
If you always use the same resolution you can insert the cap with an action. If you do different resolution just save different resolution named Eaglecap/3000x1500 etc. This is the way we are doing it, and as a benefit you can tweak your pano without altering your logo colour.

An easy way is: convert your 'eq' pano to a 'cube' pano using something like pano2qtvr. then simply add your cap in photoshop or similar to the the cube face required. then convert the cube back to an eq pano if required.

Thanks guys.
Sounds complicated. I'll give it a shot but until I really figure it out, I'll just import the pano image into panoweaver and attach the cap.
Hi rudders, just realized you and smooth are here also.
Thanks for the advice on ptgui. I tried ptgui with 6 images and it really does make a difference vs. using only 3 I use now with Panoweaver 3 Pro.
I'll probably get PTGui anyway to complement Panoweaver 3 Pro. I can't bring myself to spend $300 to upgrade from Ver 3 to 4. Hence, PTGui.
I also like the fact that the camera doesn't have to be perfectly level for images to stitch properly in PTGui. It appears to have better features and controls to make the necessary adjustments. Not so with Panoweaver, at least with my copy of Panoweaver 3 Pro.
Thanks, eagle

It occurs to me that if you panoramas are the same size you could just open them in photosop and copy the strip with the tripod cap off the bottom of the image and paste it onto the bottom of the other images. I think it should work pretty much. Equally if you just blank the bottom inch or so of the image to you cover the tripod with a solid colour then you should have a circle of colour at the bottom blank but cap none the less.

You could also just float a logo or image over the nadir with PTviever's built in code.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've give them a shot.
BTW, I've gone ahead and purchased PTGui V5.6. Looking forward to producing better panos with it using 6 images vs. only 3 images.
