Marketing idea - free stuff, cheap stuff

You may or may not know about Vista Print - they are known for free full color business cards. I just ordered a ton of full color stuff (postcards, oversize postcards, business cards.) I created the image file for each card with various pano examples and promo ideas. I use these to mail to clients and potential clients. They can be a real eye-opener very surprised for potential clients!

Also, this week CVS has large prints (50 prints or more) for .19 (usually .29) I had a couple of hundred prints of my best shots made up (25 of each print) as brochure stuffers.

Since my web based pano and tour sales are s-l-o-w, I'm also marketing to any business that can benefit or use wide angle images, pano images, etc. This is where the prints and post cards come in handy.

I put together a nice mailer with four photographs, a couple of pages of information, and a "limited time offer" on additional images. I've also used some online developers to have some 8x10's made - found one site for .99 8x10's, free shipping with a $25 order! Sure a buck can be expensive - but if I have a potential high-ticket client I figure it's worth it!

If you go to VistaPrint's site, click on the "specials" link. You'll see the post cards, oversize post cards, etc. You can upload your own design for $4.95. Your cost? 250 oversize cards with S&H and upload - around $14.00! The post cards, oversize post cards and business (and other items) are FREE for a limited time. The specials change every couple of weeks, so I often visit the site.

Just an idea to toss out there. Now if you have never used vista print, go to

www.vistaprint.com/frf?frf=699925478980

- yes, it's an affiliate link. I'll wind up with free shipping on future orders. laugh

i like to use www.overnightprints.com for my printing needs like business cards and postcards...really good quality, fast and affordable. I've used vistaprint before and was very disappointed with their quality of printing....IMHO

I ordered the vistaprint cards once and they aren't very professional because on the back it says something like "get your free business cards at vistaprint.com". If you don't mind having that on your business cards then go right ahead.

I can get 100 business cards locally for £12/$18 USD printed on photopaper www.quiksnaps.co.uk - it's really NOT that much; free options are all very well, but for the sake of a very £....
