Best 77mm UV Filters

Hi guys!
Just wondering what the best brands of 77 mm UV filters are for a Canon 17-40 L lens?

Hoya brand for filters.

Understand UV filters should NOT be used for making panoramas. As most of your questions have nothing to do with panoramas I need to add that comment for others reading this post.

Not with filters! These are likely to add differences between shots. Less so with a UV filter when compared with a Polarizer filter but you are still better without.

I don't do many stitched images now I've the 17mm. I always thought single images taken with that would be partial panos as well but maybe I was mistaken there. I still do the stitched images occasionally so for those I'll very much bear that in mind!

For the single shots I might indeed go for Hoya. However, how do Hama measure up? My local shop has those, but if Hoya are markedly better I'll go for the latter.
