Instead of IR remote, I recommend to buy radio controlled. Can be found in ebay about 20$. For example Pixel RW-221/DC2. It will be easier to deal with shadows, reflections or if shoot from pole.

Hi Ormar,

I enjoyed your vt, I have never done a complete tour like yours, about how many hours did that take you to finish including the photos, PP, stitch/build tour. What stitch and publishing software are you using?

I just checked where Estonia is located, wow cool location.

Thanks MetroRuss.
Stitching - PTGui. Tour - FPP, hand coding. Even there is GUI for it, I prefer handcoding, because there is tens and tens of third part plugins for it, what can't be used from GUI. This one is quite simple, nothing special in it.
How many hours? Don't know. Shoot in Saturday. Timestamp in server says - published in Tuesday. Panos without people were shoot bracketed and enfused.

Have received my D5100 and the Samyang 8mm lense. Still thinking about the panohead its either Ninja 3 or Pano-Maxx which looks almost like the ninja but a lot cheaper. But have no idea about the Tripod does it have to be sth specific for panoramic work or can it be cheap. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

If you like to do more than just few panos, go for Nodal Ninja www.panoguide.com/forums/tipsntricks/10378/

The Manfrotto 055XPROB is popular:

The levelling centre column is a useful accessory:

"I can provide an answer to your question in one sentence; I recommend Kolor's Autopano Giga for stitching and Panotour Pro for creating virtual tours.

Andrew"

I definitely assist.
