No experience but it looks like an excellent product. I like the battery life too - 3 years from a CR-2032 coin cell. Been looking for something like this myself but am leaning toward the Cam-Ranger www.arpdevices.com/index.php which also provides live view and download of images to iPad. It's about $166usd more than the RDM-ST1 though.
Another possibility I've looked into is the Eye-Fi Pro X2 along with the Shuttersnitch app which seems the cheapest route but also the most finicky. www.shuttersnitch.com/

The more expensive CamRanger device is considerably more versatile and offers extended HDR bracketing using the full range of shutter speeds available on the camera. Bulb mode bracketing used by the RDM-ST1 is is fine for long exposures but not so reliable for short exposures. However, the specifications don't give any indication of the practical range of exposures possible. There's a useful page on the PanoTools wiki at:

Yes John, Thanks for the link. Will be ordering the Cam-Ranger shortly I think. Dennis made a comment in another thread that he is very happy with his. (maybe he won't feel the need to take it apart)

I don't see the point.
Especially considering you can use the volume button shutter (stock), it's easy enough already to take photographs... this just seems like a waste of effort imo.
Not to mention it looks beyond silly. iPhone pistol! pewpewpew.

They claim RDM-ST1's battery can last for 3 years. May be it is by far the only shutter release trigger that can manage to take Analemma. I might like to give it a try.
ref: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Analemma for this purpose I would use the camera shutter speed, rather than taking picture using bulb long exposure.
