It's GREAT! And well worth supporting if you use it. For HDR photographers perhaps the best benefit is the expanded bracketing support. Amazing stuff. If you shoot video it's also a complete no brainier to use it, focus peaking, and so much more.
But, if you plan to use it, read the documentation, understand the documentation and follow the documentation.

And it's not compatible with a wi-fi card. I have the Eye-Fi Pro x2 8gb and ML v2.3 for my Canon 550D. Once ML is installed it does do something to the cameras bios.
I had ML installed on a 4gb Sandisk card and I purchased the Eye-Fi. I inserted the Eye-Fi (after removing the Sandisk of course) and the camera would not boot. Had to remove the battery..

for custom breakting we can use other dispositive like camranger.
