Thanks Judy. And Heinz, I've downloaded and will play this evening. Interesting subject you shot.

I hope you got the right panohead.
The lower rail of NN3 shows marks from 2 - 10, the one for NN4 shows 3 - 16.
The NN4 lower rail has a different design: you will find a sort step from top to the gap on top surface to give room for the rubber ring of the fixing knob on lower rail to avoid the knob from falling out of the rail. NN3 lower rail top surface is flat.
I've used this place to check the hole for Zenith and Nadir at different pitches and create templates for PTGui with the laser placed dots and shots with Nadir1 and Nadir2 as well. So there is much backstage info on this odd place

Well, it's an NN3 MkII. NN customer service apologized and offered me a refund of the difference or an exchange.
I spent the morning doing some tests with the NN3 MkII and I was able to find the no parallax setting with my Tokina at 11mm (100.6 on the upper arm). This even gives me a little room for error I think.
90mm on the upper arm seems good for the Samyang/Rokinon 8mm Fisheye.
I'm keeping it and requesting the refunded difference.
Now if I can just get some time tomorrow to shoot my first pano with it!
