Guys
I am currently using a company call VIPX and it's great for beginners like me. But now I will like to go farther and for those of you who have use VIPX knows they do everything for you after you sticking and upload the panorama. Now I will like to create virtual tour using software like kolor, Tourwaver, Pano2VR etc. Since I never use any of these software before here is the question: 1- what is a good software for beginner like me who have no knowledge of writing code but will like to learn. 2- after you create the tour how or where do you host the tours? do I have to host on my own server or do those company offer there server hosting? I know how to use PTGui to create the panorama but after that I have no idea what to do next. I am open for anything thanks

Hi John, 1-I am new in creating virtual tours and I am using pano2VR and panotour pro...I first purchased pano2vr and it took me some time to understand it...Recently I started using panotour pro and I saw that that it is easier to understand...Both software companies have their tutorials on their websites...Panotour pro is a lot more expensive then the pano2vr... 2-I can put the tours on my or the clients server...I don't know whether kolor or gardengnome offer server capacities...
Best regards Burak

Hi Burak
Thanks for the info I have my eye on those two soft ware for a wild now and I think I will give panotour pro a try. There software have a new feature coming up where you can blind a video with virtual tour back ground. The best use of this feature will be a restaurant host speaking or introduce the food or special. It's like a live person inside your virtual tour. The first time I seen it was like wow

Feel free to check the user examples linked to in my signature.
If you know no code, but still want to make complex and functional tours, you can do so using Flahificator.
We do not (currently) offer server hosting, and it has not been required by our customers, who all (as far as I know) have their own domains and hosting services.
Adding videos is as easy as "drag and drop" into the pano and aligning the video to where it should be.

Thanks I will look in to it. BTW if I do have domain and hosting from for example Godaddy.com what I need to do after I create the virtual tour? The reason I ask is because for VIPX all I need to do is upload the pamo and that was it. I don't get to see how to upload and host from that point on. I feel like my knowledge of making a virtual is very limited and not professional.

For uploading tours to your domain, you can use the control panel you have with your godaddy account (FTP uploading), or... as I prefer, use a dedicated FTP client program, such as CuteFTP (google for it) or other FTP clients (some of which are free)... and you simply log onto your domain and upload the folder with the project, and provide your viewing audience with the URL that leads to that project.
If you have a domain named "johnchenpanos.com" you might make a folder named "panoramas" directly on the root, and upload your project to it. If your project is named "myProject", you would have a link like this: "johnchenpanos.com/panoramas/myProject"
It is pretty easy to manage, and probably more difficult to explain than to actually do it.. but I hope this gives you the proper idea of how it is.
If you'd like a test project to try and upload to your domain, I can provide you with one. You are welcome to contact me by email or by Skype.
