it has full frame sensor, wifi share, video shooting etc... the weight is lighter than previous d700 and d800. other technical specs are very similar to d7000. price is set between both of them as well. would it attract people who use dx format to be upgraded to this one? use back the 10.5mm, it can complete a full spherical panorama with 3-4 shots round.

I have been strongly considering it - mostly because I hate my d7000. Nowhere to go but up, and I'm not willing to spend $4000. 3rd best sensor, small in size, cheap full. sign me up!

I was so looking forward to the release of this camera but have been left rather disappointed. Nikon have it in their consumer line-up so it only has three shot bracketing which isn't good for the price.
And talking of price, here in the UK, for about £350 extra you can get the D800 so it's a non-starter. The D600 still needs to significantly come down in price before I would consider one.

" I hate my d7000 " In what way do you hate your D7000? I found the image quality on my D7000 & Sigma 3.5 8mm was significantly better than on my D300. There is no question the D7000 AF is not as good as on the D300. It seems there are so many choices out there; the D400? will be very attractive as a DX camera. The D600 is extremely attractive as a full frame but has the disadvantage of the D7000 AF system. Of course those of us invested in DX lenses are less inclined to go full frame....
