Sam says about publishing on the internet where krpano is an excellent chooice, running as flash and/or HTML5 on desktop and mobiles.

I reccomended to OP DevalVR as local player which is the best if you running Windows and also is freeware.

I switched to FSPViewer www.fsoft.it/panorama/FSPViewer.htm when DevalVR didn't cope with 16 Bit images. I see know that is does. But I have become accustom to the Percentage and FOV scales in the bottom right of FSPViewer. Also Windows and also free.
