How does it determine whether to display the Flash or the HTML5/javascript version?
If I create a tour using Panotour Pro (PTP) with both Flash and i-Device compatible output the program creates an HTML file that invokes a script that detects the browser user-agent and loads the appropriate version of the tour.
This means that I can use the Safari browser on a Windows PC and load either the Flash or i-Device compatible version depending on how I set the user-agent.
When I tried doing the same thing with your sample prodced with PTGui it always displays the Flash version regardless of the setting of the user-agent in Safari.

To be honest, easier the better sounds great. I'm actually a photographer turned web designer so my tech skills are limited and hence I worry about PTGui which may be overly complex for my small brain!
Re hi-res pano shots, they blow my mind! They are incredible and somewhere down the line (when I've perfected basic full screen panos) I'd love to investigate.
You've all been incredibly helpful, thanks so much, you've set me on my way!!!! (please keep the advice coming, it's really appreciated)

Andrew, I've no idea, but these lines in the generated HTML file allow you to set a preference:
// What to do if both Flash and the native viewer can be used: // use viewer.preferHtmlViewer() if you prefer to use the native HTML viewer even // when Flash is available. viewer.preferFlashViewer();

Hi Andrew. Flashificator+iOSVR ( www.iosvr.com ) can do the job just fine, and soon there will be native iOS output from Flashificator, translating existing projects to iOS.
Max cubeface size in our iOS player is 2189x2189 pixels, which is 128% more pixels (more clarity) than you get in the other existing solutions, so there is absolutely good reason to look forward to it coming out.

Sorry, but I was plain wrong. Our player can use 2289x2289 cubefaces, and that results in 150% more pixels than other players.
Bigger than that is not possible due to current iOS hardware limitations.
