I had a few problems, I wasnted to test out the output created from VR Worx, but because of the criple-ware, i couldnt save it to test how it published properly.
I tested mine by creating a .mov and had a patch that converted it to a object movie. However this was a patch that was only functional on a mac.
The results were mediocre, have a look at the results www.inceptionwebcreations.com.au/sundial/tidytap....
You will notice that when you rotate it one way it actually skips about a quater of it, then the other way is fine.
I was going to purchase VR Worx but was hesitant - i would have liked a working version or a cr$cked version to test before i purchased it.
I think i can hunt down that mac patch if you want a copy of it, hope this helps in any way
Cheers Lac

Jeff, Is it possible to have a look at your object .mov's?
Lac,
That's exactly what bother me - I can't publish .mov and judge performance/quality etc. Interface and usability is okay.
I would prefer to get heavily watermarked object movie
And $150 isn't the sum I ready to spend for noncommercial experiments.
Thank you for offering patch, but unfortunately I'm don't have friends with Macs...
Regards, Andrey

As a software engineer, I'm still surprised people don't put fully-functional software out that cripples the LOOK of the product...
I got turned off by an unnamed demo that was 70% functional, and it was for a 500$ do-it-all product full of typos and 2 repeatable crashes.
But then again, I have owned Photovista since '96, loved it and love it now, but, it has the SAME BUG its had since '96. Obviously the team was a casualty of being bought/sold a few times from Live Picture.

If anyone does know of any other software out there that is useful at creating objects, I would be keen to know.
I would love a working version of any of the software, that ACTUALLY lets me test the output.
Seems as though we arent the only ones out there that wish to pursue V objects.

Rumour has it that a New version of VR Toolbox is soon to be released. I agree about the output, it would be better if the demo were watermarked rather than nothing at all! Having said that, it does seem to be the most professionaly presented software out there at present, unless someone knows of better?

I just prefer to have the same container for all my VR works - panos and objects in one project.

andrey, i'll send you a sample object movie. imho vrworx worked really well. i used only single row (no vertical rotating) though, but plenty of output/compression options.

I have tried the Flash VR object by downloading a template, i wasnt too impressed with the control over the rotating speed.
Flash 360 - if you have a working file, i am more than willing to give it another go.
I am sure there are people out there who can do things like this and work them and make it better.

Nice one - i just gave it a go, and its by far the best effort yet, i like the controls and editing the XML is easy.
Thanks for the link.

Do you have flash MX by any chance ? If so , please do let me know and I can give you source for that kind of stuff at no cost. As well as short tutorial how to get the images and set it up.
Don't be paying this is very fundamental stuff and skill in flash. I will be more than happy to share my source file with you.
regards
Sebastian
sample: Click and Drag
It's a big large (750 kb) due to images so it will need time to shop up. Did not really bother to put preloader, sorry... Script takes just few lines and takes literally less than two minutes to set up and publish. www.njquality.com/360/01_basic_large.html
Second sample uses the very exact script as above, except it was use for different kind of effect. www.njquality.com/360/02_car_door.html
And 3rd one, more fancy, automated kind of thing. I wrote Spin Class code and made it as component, basically import your images and run it at will, script will adjust itself. Here the special thing is that you can drag and throw , it will spin and ease out, a bit physics and maths use in the coding but as said above, you don't need skills to use it. www.njquality.com/360/03_drag_throw.html This one will as well take time to load, please be patient.
