Hi Nikos , thanks , no secrets.I climbed the needle with a tripod and a really heavy benro monopod at my back.Usually I climb with a very light tripod and very light (less than 50 grams) alluminium homemade pano head. For this time I nedeed a stronger tripod and a monopod. The top is loose rock and there are not safe anchorages.Safe anchorages are 1 meter below the top , where my parter is. First I took 4 + zenit photos with monopod over the tripod , was dificult because the top is very little and was strong windy conditions (straps and caps flying over the lens) I attached tripod to the top (red arrow at photo) with a little cam device climbers use often but was no very safe. for nadir photo I stand on the top (some fear , but my partner was more scared than me ) and take photo with my hands Here are the nadir photo and one of the around without Pshop:imageshack.us/g/801/dsc01591sy.jpg/
Cheers. Juan

Thanks but may be that award is for my camera and lens, seems to me they were crying while I was taking photos ...after 25 years taking climbing photos only 2 lenses were fallen in act of service
