Walking with AIDS

www.walkingwithaids.info
a 360° panoramic scrapbook from Mozambique

Designed for a general audience not at all aware of what qtvr is, and with the International AIDS conference in mind.
Going fullscreen was not required here (but you'll find them eventually), but rather I was looking for a simple & accessible canvas to tell a story, and convince a new audience of the possibilities of QTVR.

Thoughts, opinions, rants, questions, your feedback is welcome

Fantastic work!

What a wonderful way to present this important information. I really like the audio. It brings life to the pictures. No need for fullscreen in my opinion.

Mickael, could you give us some insight into how you became involved in this project. Do you have any connections to Mozambique?

Again, awesome work.

Morten

Powerful as usually, Michael!

A little remark on the navigation between panos - is there some way to reach specific pano directly, avoiding moving by the line of panos? I didn't find such possibility.

Andrey.

thanks everyone

@andrey: so Opera does that to my flash bar hmmm … luckily that's only 0,83% of visitors but still …

@morten:glad you don't need the fullscreens, I thought they were superfluous too so in the end I dumped them in the faq

well I was not connected with Moz at all, but I do have relations with MSF, long friendship, mutual trust, talking the world over and drinking till 5am that sort of things just made it happen … oh and lots of work too wink

I had a little chat with vrmag in their last issue, it's a little more in depth than what I could post here, you might want to check that vrm.vrway.com/issue26/AIDS_ORPHANS_IN_MOZAMBIQUE.... and also

thanks again

This is just superb.

Our family has made a small donation to say 'thank you' for reminding us of the great work MSF and individuals like you do and realising how so lucky we are..Please can we urge others to do the same.

it's the first time I have seen QTVR's used in this context. I thought the VR's have far more impact than moving images or stills. The narration is superb and really sets the right tone. People are used to seeing news reports on TV that highlight the urgency of the AIDS situation in developing countries - so much so that some 'unconciously' switch off. This is different, effective, has impact and re-enforces the view that we MUST do something about it.

It is OUR problem - not theirs.

Well done Mikael. Very well done indeed smile

Kind regards,
