Horrible work as usual Andrey smile

Do you prefer open diaphragm vs higher ISO in places like this? And btw, is this with the new head?

Thank you, mates smile

This pano is shot with my new head - 360p. I would be capable to produce the same quality pano even with my old self made pano head, but after some (long) time in PS. This pano required half an hour, maybe 40 minutes - thanks to Matt and Stu. And I didn't have time yest to prepare the templates!!! I need one free week to make it and the new era will start for me wink

Bravo,
I think that D70 (and Canon 20D) can prodeuce great material for panos up to ISO 800... With f/4 and 1/30 it is possible to capture almost any action. But I prefer to keep diafragm at 5,6 if the conditions lets me.

maybe with new scantech voyager(multilens) filmcamera one can work quicker and better. wouldnt 20mm on 43mm image-height be enough? 20- 105mm nikon-lenses. i only hope they can be focused. i dont have doubts. i am trusting gildas. i have only doubts about the lens-quality. i hope there are some top-lenses. scanning with epson 4990 and you can also get better prints. if gildas will control slit-quality(very sharp and good light-absorbation) then we could expect something special. i am dreaming of a zeiss(contx/yashica)-version. 21-100mm- there are no better lenses then these two.

on scantech-site 28mm lens produces 52mm image. comparing this in new multilens-camera with 35mm-camera(vertical) 20mm will equal 13.5mm lens. isnt this enough? ok looking down is not possible like in andreys wonderful shot. i am remembering back 20 years when i had to shoot with horizont and 1/30 with highspeed-film. endless amount of troubles for quality control in that fixfocus-camera with 28mm lens. i had made the prints myself.

Hi Andrey,
would like to know do you use a ballhead to attached to the 360p panohead? or do you use other more sturdy heady to attached it? I am using a giotto ballhead and the bubble seems to run slightly while i rotate.. your advice would be really helpful.

Many thanks

Hi Ys,

Throu the ballhead away! You don't need it - every extra mediator between the tripod and panohead is a source of error. If you feel that it is vitally necessary to level your head - use 055 manfrotto with the central column which lets the level to be slighlty adjusted (up to 5 degrees, if I'm not mistaken, what is enough) Don't remember the exact name of this item, but it is easy to find in Manfrotto catalogue.

Hope it helps.
