Hey guys,

I have been working on a better NADIR stitch and a Day and night transition in the same tour. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Max, An interesting test. I think you should try to get better registration between the two versions of the panorama in the area where the transition occurs. Aside from the breaks in the overhead wires (which are difficult to avoid in windy conditions), the stitching generally needs to be improved - not just at the nadir, which is still poor. Nadirs are not difficult if you have your panohead setup correctly and use viewpoint correction in PTGui. If you care to make one set of images available, I would be happy to see if the cause of your stitching problems can be identified.

That is a very cool application of day/night transition.

As John said, the Nadir stitching is, well, not good. If you can provide a set of downsized images, others here will do a test stitch and let you know exactly what you need to do in order to improve.

When you have overhead wires, use the healing brush in Photoshop to remove the wires from the picture. I use this trick for most of my Hawaii panoramas. Nothing like a set of overhead power lines to ruin a good scene.

You need to clean your lens. Way too many water/dust spots.

I would be interested in how you did the transition.
