advise about sharpness

Hello dear forum members,

People like seeing details on VTs...Especially when it is about real estate/houses with furniture...In my country many VT producers create low-res, little-detail tours and I want to see if I can make a difference...Here the opening pano is what I've made with the hope to be a good example and would like to hear your opinions about...Original TIFF pano is 10000x5000, I have used in this example 8000x4000 with a jpeg quality of 10...

Any input will be highly appreciated...

Nice sharpness there Burak, it took a little while to open the tour with my slow internet connection (USB dongle) here in Bali.
For higher resolution scenes, you could probably get away with quality setting of 9 without clearly visible degradation in image quality, it is about finding just the right balance there.

Needed sharpness depend on the purpose of the pano also I think, for many real estate (agents) a criteria is that the tour/panos have to load as fast as possible, otherwise the visitors might leave the page/website.

With Nikon D300 and Sigma 8mm, I typically get a little over 8000 pixels horizontal resolution as stitched output.
Scaling down to 6434 during post-processing for 2048 pixel cube faces and 1024 and 512 faces for mobile devices by KrPano.

Are you embedding all data when building the tour?

If so don't because then it will load faster.

Removing the little planet intro will also result in faster loading.

Looking at the XML, Burak didn't embed the files; www.burakercumen.com/images/sanal-tur/DUBLEKSDAIR...

I prefer to offer little planet and other projections though the (right click) context menu.
