Nikon D800, NN-5L & Nikon 8mm f/2.8: Yes They Work Well

I have been under the impression from many sources that the Nikon D800, Nikon 8mm f/2.8 (huge) and the Nodal Ninja 5L were incompatable together. I had access the the lantern room of Currituck Lighthouse in Corolla, NC, USA recently and took a chance at using the combo. I did not spend too much time calibrating the combo together but I'm very close. This is a quick and dirty pano and yes they do play well together. There are a few stitching errors but I'm convinced the combo works!

Hi Laddad,
Thx for the info. Is there any advantage of Nikon 8mm/ F2.8 compared to Sigma 8mm F3.5?

I have never owned a Sigma 8mm f/3.5. I would like one simply because of its smaller size. The feeling I get from from the "the net" is that the Nikon 8mm f/2.8 is superior to the Sigma with respect to image quality. The major drawback is it's size. It is is huge!
