burake said: ..It was interesting for me to read you did bracketing -2,0,+2...I am just a beginner and tried until now only -1,0,+2...Keep on posting beauties like this...
You could get two more images at -2 and +2 Ev during raw conversion from your original -1 and +1 exposures, however shooting -2, 0, +2 in the first place is preferred, then you can extract a -1 and +1 during processing if needed.

Unfortunate but entertaining story to follow for a "constructive response" ;}

Prepared myself for a lot of noise, but there is only moderate noise at most, doesn't distract the attention from this nice panorama.

Great location. A little too saturated for my taste. I don't see much noise if any. Horizon seems to bulge slightly. But nice ambiance.
Where in the World is this?

I come from the portrait photography world so I'm not used to any noise. Good to know that is "acceptable".
Fair assessment on the saturation... I was pushing the limits of what I thought was a good amount. It's funny though that the average (non photographer) person seems to be drawn to slightly over saturated images... at least in my experience.
Does the horizon bulge? I thought I straightened that.. will have to look again.
The location is near "Oprah's happiest city in America"... haha

I think you are right in that more color attracts on the first glance. And it seems that the more sophisticated one is in the appreciation of photography, less saturation is prefered . I like more saturation than most of the good photographers we talk with every day. There's no right or wrong.
I have no idea what Oprah thinks is happy.....

I just used the Oprah reference because I find it funny she proclaimed that... I don't blame you for not wanting to waste the time to google what she has to say.
You can see the location on the map in this tour. www.ritchiephotography.com/shellbeach.html I still need to add the tide pool pano to this tour.
Thanks for the comments!

Now for the "unfortunate but entertaining story"... not that entertaining really but thought i'd follow through with the story anyway... Hadn't slept the night before due to deadlines... had a great portrait shoot at the beach and thought i'd push my luck with some after dark panos... After hundreds of times shooting on that beach I had that .01% time, slipped, and was on sitting on moss... at least I wasn't on/off the bluff... One 5Dc down... Everything else is good!
