Who is panoguide?

Photo of James Rigg

Believe it or not panoguide is the work of just one person: James Rigg. But of course I have to thank all the panoramic photography enthusiasts who take part in the site and turn it into a community, publishing images, sharing ideas and helping out newbies and professionals alike.

Credits

Many people have contributed to panoguide over the years and I owe them my thanks: Trevor White, Mathieu Villegas, Jenni Le Roux, Ray Yee, Andrew Harris.

Inspiration

The current panoguide design was inspired by the work of various people, in particular the A List Apart Magazine and the fabulous book The Zen of CSS Design by Dave Shea and Molly Holzschlag.

This is simply the best book on web-design I have ever read - it is a book all about the many designs on the CSS Zen Garden website, and goes through and explains the technical challenges and innovations of each design.

Steve Krug's approach to web usability is really refreshing and accessible - a website should be designed to be so easy to use you don't have to think about it. (I do not profess to have achieved this with panoguide, but this is a really great book!)
